Our beautiful trips to Canada and America
Holding on to my memories. We have made the most beautiful trips in Canada and America. Visited and crossed 19 American states and 5 Canadian states. Special animals, nature, encounters, being far away...... beautiful. From offered Harley rides in a pub to bears and their cubs. From waterfalls to high mountains and deep valleys. From Pub Quiz in Keuka to sleeping and dining in a 5 star hotel. From train journeys, subway rides, boat trips through Chicago and yellow taxis. From lines of Mexicans standing by a truck looking for work to Amish in their carts and Amish bakeries with Apple Fritter. From an airplane in front of the garage door to whales in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Seals, Sea Lions, Gannets, Turkey Eagles, Coyotes and Bears. From bright blue Mountain Blue Birds, bison, wapitis, pronghorns, chipmunk, red foxes, cranes, river otters, bald eagles and eagles. Hiking at the Fingerlakes, boating on St. Lawrence River, Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean. Beautiful museums in Washington to beer-smelling pub streets in Nashville. From missing suitcases to eruptions of the Eyjafjallajökull and fuel failures at Schiphol. From an upgrade at the top of the plane to flying 1st class. From often having to spend the night in Paris (wonderful) and flying via South America, Africa to Europe. From knee-high snow to the heat. From the well-known border crossings on TV to visits to the toilet in the presence of a customs officer. Especially from meetings with special people, great conversations, invitations for boat trips and the infamous motorcycle trips. From the exclamation of a boy at a special landing 'Papa j'ai peur' to which I want to shout: 'moi aussi!' Simply, from being together with John and Gina. No mom and dad, colleague, family. Just us.
After the bears, eagles, vultures, bison, sea lions, seals, gannets, Wapiti's, Elks, dolphins, otters, this is one of my most beautiful nature moments. Of all the boat trips in search of whales, St. Lawrence Bay, Pacific Ocean (Vancouver Island) and the Atlantic Ocean, the one from Boston is always the most beautiful.
